POSSIBLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SPOT THAT THERE IS: MILFORD SOUND & FIORDLAND IN NEW ZEALAND'S SOUTH ISLAND - A MUST SEE SIGHT
Excerpt from the blog - Milford Sound, situated on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island, is possibly the most beautiful spot that there is. Carved out by glaciers during the last ice-age, it is technically not a sound, so much as a fiord, with cliffs rising on either side of the deep waters; native New Zealand bush; waterfalls; and towering mountain peaks at every turn. It is an incredible sight....The scenery on-route (see above) is incredible in itself. It is vast, mostly uninhabited territory, with waterfalls, rivers, native bush and mountain peaks of its own to mesmerise...But the magic from the waters edge at the beginning of the Fiord, is the truly unbeatable bit of the trip. We spent half a day wandering and exploring this beautiful corner. With no phone reception (and despite the many tourists), it is a place of calm. Time for us to absorb nature as it would have been thousands of years ago, as much as it is today.
